Who may be suitable?
Assessment includes oral and general health, gum condition, smoking, bone volume, medicines and expectations. Imaging may be required, and bone grafting or other preparatory care may sometimes be considered.
What are the risks and limitations?
Possible complications include discomfort, swelling, infection, failure to integrate, nerve or sinus injury, gum or bone loss and mechanical problems with the restoration. Maintenance and future repairs may be needed.
